This is the COMPLETE and unexpurgated version of MOTU (second edition). It is
not crippled in any way. It runs fine under RBBS [all versions], PCBoard [all
12.x versions, and believed to run under new 14], and also believed to run
without any utilities under WILDCAT! "Native mode" support coming soon for
other BBS software.
Run it, enjoy it, hope your callers like it.
If you'd like to become a registered, supported owner of this software, that's
great! If you just want to "try it" for a few years, that's OK too.
Here are some of the benefits (to me and you) if you choose to register:
(1) you can receive upgrades, forever, free;
(2) your ideas for changes in the game will be
incorporated in future releases;
(3) as new door games are developed, they too will be
available to you;
(4) you will receive the highest security level
available to any caller on my system
(5) I'll be able to develop more doors that are
independent of the host BBS software;
(6) you'll feel bettter about having done it --
TO REGISTER:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
(a.) send me a (copy of a) cancelled check dated
after 6/1/88 made out to the American Cancer
Society for $50 or more (from you);
(b.) send me a check for $25 (or more) -- excess
will be forwarded on, in your name to same org.
(c.) tell me in your letter what name/password
combination you want to use when logging onto
my board
(d.) promise, in your letter, that no upgrades or future
releases will be redistributed by you. Future changes,
fixes, enhancements, etc. have NOT been released to the
public and are reserved for supported, registered owners.
On the other hand, if the game seems to work fine for you & your users and you
don't feel a need for support, give us a call anyway -- just to say thanks! (or
"bah, humbug!")
If you like the software and your users appreciate it, but you STILL think $25
is too much, then send what you can, I know I'll appreciate it, and I'll still
grant you higher access levels on my board than available to "normal" callers.
